How To Water Tall Fescue Sod
Water only to supplement shortages in rainfall. Avoid using irrigation with fixed timer settings. Tall Fescue will perform the best when it gets around 1 inch of water every week.
Additional irrigation won’t be necessary when there is more than one inch of rain fall in a week. (Example: if during a growing week 1/2 inch of rain falls, then irrigate to apply 1/2 inch).
Don’t waste water from over watering; avoid standing and run-off water for any length of time.
